Q. I bought a 13W3 to HD15 adapter on XYZ website but it doesn't work. Why?

Many people don't realize that not all 13W3 to HD15 cables are alike. The 13W3 video standard is not universal. There are differences between SUN, SGI, IBM, DELL, Hitachi, Cornerstone, etc. There are even different 13W3 video formats within some manufacturers!

SUN and SGI are the most recognized systems that use 13W3 connectors. Many websites advertise an adapter as SUN or SGI even those it may not work on those systems.

We check the system requirements and determine which adapter/cable a computer or monitor will need. We always make sure you're getting an item that will be compatible. In the rare cases when we're mistaken we pay for return postage and refund your entire payment.

We have adapters/cables for 100's of workstations and monitors. If you don't see your model number listed please email us. We should be able to locate the appropriate cable.

Q. What is sync-on-green and why is it important?

Sync-on-green, abbreviated SOG, is a name for a type of 13W3 video signal. It means that the video sync signal has been combined with the green video signal.

A lot of PC-type VGA/SVGA monitors cannot receive a SOG signal. Most newer monitors support SOG. It should be listed in the spec sheets.

That's why it's important to select the proper adapter for your equipment. If SOG is an issue with your model our website will explain which adapters will work and if your monitor needs to support SOG.

Q. Will you ship to my country?

Yes, we ship worldwide. If you are unable to use the paypal payment service in your country you can also mail a payment. International bidders may want to view these pages:

We are located in the United States of America. All prices are in US Dollars (USD). You may pay in another currency but please convert the amount from USD to your currency when making payment.

Q. What if I buy one of your cables and it doesn't work?

We offer limited technical support if you're having trouble configuring your system. If the adapter is defective we will replace it for free.

If we shipped the wrong part we'll mail you the correct part and a prepaid return mailer. In the rare cases when we sell a cable that isn't compatible we pay for return postage and refund your entire payment, including S/H fees.

Q. What is your warranty / DOA / guarantee policy?

All the cables and adapters we sell come with a lifetime warranty.

Defective parts are rare but if you receive one we will replace it for free.

If we say a cable/adapter is compatible we stand by our statement. We carefully research every item we sell to ensure accurate information.

Other websites may make you ship non-compatible parts back, making the customer pay for the company's mistake. In the rare cases when we sell a cable that isn't compatible we pay for return postage and refund your entire payment, including S/H fees.
